This is a little story I've illustrated within week 2 of #plastober: "Nature strikes back"
Day 6: desert 🏜️ - In a world turned into a desert, a man was wandering around, only a few hours from dying of thirst, like so many others. In the distance, he suddenly saw a green place with a lovely pond - an oasis! "I must be hallucinating!", he thought. But no: it was there, with fresh water and fruit, saving his life...
Day 7: sparkling ✨ The oasis was full of fruit and animals, enough to survive from. Bathing joyfully in the pond, happy to be alive, the man spotted something sparkling on the ground. He carefully lifted the object out of the water - a golden crown! 👑
Day 9: fox 🦊 Just as the stranger wanted to set the crown on his head, a little desert fox showed up. "Human, I beg you, put the crown back to the ground.", it said. "This artifact's power keeps our little place blooming and safe from the raging heat. We gave you water and food, you don't need the gold."
Day 10: wind 🌪️ The stranger did not listen to the fox and kept the crown. Almost immediately, a strong wind began to blow and a sandstorm was building up on the horizon. "It is not too late, human.", said the fox. The man laughed. "You just can't grant me my success. I am king of this place now, how could a sandstorm do any harm to me?"
Day 11: fight ☠️ The sandstorm came, and it came powerful. The stranger lost the fight against it quickly, and with him the whole oasis drowned in dust. Very slowly, above the crown another pond filled with water, waiting for the next lost soul to start the trial. 👑
